Hello Fall

Self Discovery

Today is the first full day of Autumn. One can either bid farewell to summer or say hello to fall. I guess this depends on your point of view. Youth and vitality give way to wisdom and introspection; both are beautiful. Personally Autumn is my favorite time of year. I am much more active photographically in the fall. The slight chill, the light, the colors, the expectations of the holidays all fill me full of energy.

But the expectations are tempered by winter just visible on the horizon. WInter is a long cold sleep, a reminder of our ultimate destiny. It is beautiful and hard and desperate.
