Yeah, I am still thinking about my America project so bear with me. I just got off the Amtrak website. In this day and age where everyone is conscious of their “Carbon Footprint” (buzz, buzz, buzz) I am thinking of doing my traveling through the US on Amtrak and maybe rent a car for a few trips to take me where Amtrak won’t. Jack Kerouac and Robert Frank and countless other past Romantics were On The Road. Me, I’ll be hitting the rails. I’ll be looking into rail passes. Hmm, I wonder if Amtrak would be interested in subsidizing my travels in return for some photography? Unfortunately poor photographers have to think about the Economics of their projects. No Guggenheim grants for me unfortunately (but I have never applied).
