The beginning of all human knowledge started with a question. An intrepid human once wanted to know why. Thousands of years later we have the Higgs Boson! The quests of science and art all have to do with finding and understanding our place in the universe. The other day my son looked up at the sky and asked, Why is the sky blue? It has something to do with the way light bounces around in our atmosphere but I could not remember the exact details and so off we went to look for an answer via Google. As we searched we came across information about the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, which is today by the way – Happy Solstice! In England you would be gathering around Stonehenge if you were so inclined. Anyway, reading about the solstice led us to read about the Super Moon appearing on June 23rd and then to learning about why we have seasons. An exhilarating cerebral adventure which started with, Why?
