Okay, so the last post was obviously the building up of an idea. A framework for my future landscape photography. But it is also based on observation of some photographic practices going on at the moment. I am going to be belaboring this point further as I read and think a little more (and obviously shoot). But to give you a better sense of where I am going I want to point you to the work of Chris Shaw. His depiction of “a battle between industry and nature” illustrates my point. Nature is now considered an active player. It is no longer passive waiting to be either saved or demolished. We are nature and nature is us.
