This wonderfully scary dude is actually a volunteer and he is a sweetheart.
Saturday was a bright and sunny day. Perfect for the Family Fun Day festivities. Because my son had swimming practice we were late and did not arrive in time for the setup. This made it a little difficult to get people to pose for their portraits but I managed to get a number of families. These families all have rough lives but if you get passed the guarded and gruff exteriors they are really wonderful but vulnerable souls. Any little thing I can do to make their lives just a little brighter, especially the kids, is a wonderful thing.
