Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of Hurricane Maria striking the islands of Puerto Rico. The occasion stirred many fellow boricuas to rally and protest against the atrocious treatment of Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans by the US Government. There were many and I joined in on one held in NYC’s Union Square. Many luminaries made an appearance, from La Bruja, Caridad De La Luz, a legendary Nuyorican poet to Dr. Drum and of course the NY Democratic star and the future of the progressive movement Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I would like to have it officially known that if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is looking for a photographer I am willing!
