2019: An Introduction

There is a feeling in the air that 2019 will be a year of reckoning, politically mainly I would think. Yesterday being New Year’s Day I spent the time thinking about what I would be doing photographically in 2019. I came up with nothing luminous or brilliant.

  1. I decided that my Fuji 100F would be my main (maybe only) camera for my picture making this year. Simple, portable and I love it’s rendition of black and white (Acros). Yesterday I added my beloved Mamiya camera strap to my Fuji. The strap is basically a length of cloth with some slight padding on the underside of the neck area. Basically I can still put my Fuji in my pocket comfortably if I wanted to or I could wear it around my neck.
  2. I want to try an take images that have something to do with the feeling of American Society in the coming year. It’s not very different from what I usually do. The subtle difference is that I want to pay a little more attention to how my images describe society out there and not my subconscious in here.

Anyway, Happy New Year all and let’s get to making pictures.
