A couple of posts ago I mentioned a new series of images called, Roulette. I am still in the beginning stages. Some might say I am just experimenting, trying things out. They would be correct.
My first thought is that I would let the train I commute on daily dictate what I photograph. But that was a bit limiting. What I am thinking now is that I will shoot semi-randomly out the window. Sort of like a novice bird hunter shooting desperately hoping to get a good shot. Chance is still very much a part of the series.
LUXE LXIV is the framework for the photography of Dave Ortiz. Dave has been making and working with images for over 15 years. He is presently the Head of Digital Imaging at Columbia University in the City of New York. He is available for digital imaging consultation. Previously he was the head photographer at The New York Public Library and he was a photo editor at Natural History magazine from 1992 - 2000. He currently lives in Maplewood, NJ.

That is likely to work with a digital camera. Would be very pricey with film.
