Every year a charity group called Be The Change hosts a “Family Fun Day” for the residents of a family homeless shelter. Every year I am on hand to take portraits of anyone who wants one. In years past we would print the images at a local drug store. This was really a hassle especially with everyone continually asking when the pictures would arrive.

This year I brought along one of those Canon Selphy printers and wow did everyone want their photos taken. Which I was more than happy to do. I sometimes don’t know who benefits more from these annual “Fun Days” the residents or the volunteers. I know I always have a blast. We both mingle and it is hard to tell who is a volunteer and who is a resident.
