
Alec Soth has some really interesting videos posted to youtube. As you would expect he talks mainly about photobooks. But what is interesting is his analysis of photobooks. In one of the videos he talks about time in photobooks. And one thing he discusses is the technique of staggered time in a sequence. Basically 2 or more pictures depicting the same scene but slightly staggered in time or perspective. Sort of what I did with the 2 images above. These are from my new series, “Imaginary Polaroids, Type 55”.
